I used to post comments over there all the time, but about a year ago, all the moderators started banning me. I’d get a week’s or a month’s suspension, and then while still under suspension, some other moderator would come along and arbitrarily extend it another couple of weeks or months. Now I get automatic 6 month suspensions for p**sing them off with my comments. After the last one, I just stopped posting. They hate free speech, and actually gloat about it on their private boardmail conversations with me.
Know what my offenses were?
Answer:
(1) Pointing out how every time they get a recruit commitment, and start bragging, “take THAT Utah”, that Rivals rated him with only 2 stars, and Utah wasn’t recruiting him anyway.
(2) Posting links that show the ARWU, THE, and QS publications place Utah substantially higher on their Global rankings lists, and links that show that the USNWR publication uses metrics of a non-academic nature, which is why it’s not only NOT the “gold standard” they claim it is, but rather highly criticized and dismissed.
(3) Posting “9 in a row!”
(4) Calling the tdS “midmajors forever”
(5) Pointing out how I get banned for lesser offenses than the posts they have up on their thread right now. Those “racist” posts TheJuggernaut provided screenshots of aren’t anomalous.
(6) Pointing out how cougar fans calling Utah students/alumni “uneducated” or academically beneath ybU’s students/alumni looks really suspicious when the cougar alumn/author of said post mispelled several easy words, and drew an obviously easily-refutable conclusion.
Posting “facts” is an unacceptable act on cougarboard.
