Wilson’s Mustache
ParticipantIf you haven’t already go and read 13Saturdays two part blog post on his visit to Utah & the Holy War. He has a lot of good things to say about the Utah Football experience & its always fun to see it from a non-Utah fan perspective.
The point of this post however, was his suggestion of a new entrance for our football team. He may or may not have been serious, but I actually really like the idea, if not for our entrance then for a 4th quarter break fan tradition.
This is the Ice Land National Football Team’s celebration.
How awesome would that be to see 46,000 + fans in Rice-Eccles doing that?
We can even incorporate the drum into it as well.
Seriously, if anyone knows a forum or a person I can get in touch with I would love to throw the idea out to someone that can make decision.
Let me know your thoughts.

InactiveWell it doesn’t have an exact rhythm for the 99% of the tone deaf Utes in the stadium. It is actually funny to hear the stadium try to get into unison on just saying U-T-A-H. NEZ can be heard and the west stands. South end zone and East get lost.

Wilson’s Mustache
ParticipantWell I would imagine that’s where the big drum & surround sound would come into play

ParticipantYou could try getting in touch with somebody in the band. They are responsible for the drums. They coordinate a lot with cheer leaders and MUSS. Brian Sproul is the director and they are part of the school of music. You might try Posting this on Twitter too and tagging them @marchingutes but I don’t know who monitors their twitter

KeymasterAnd another thing, the big drum is tuned WAAAAY too high. It’s not big and beefy sounding anymore.
