Better than no Ute sports. I have been a Utah football and basketball fan for a very long time. I first started listening on the radio and attending occasionally when I could find the finances or talk someone into taking me to games.
I’ve felt the whole gambit of emotions. The highs of the great BB teams of the 50’s, 60’s, and70’s. The extremely tough 20 years of the 70’s and 80’s until Mac’s arrival in the 90’s. The incredible Majeris run and the demise that followed. The Urban explosion and Whitt foundation leading to PACMAS. Larry K’s resurrection of a completely dead Utah BB program.
At present our BB program is frustrating to watch, they play so well at times in games they look like they could beat anyone, then they have stretches that make you wonder if they have ever played before. Coach K in my opinion is a good coach. He seems to be a very good guy and runs a clean program. I don’t know if Larry is capable of getting Utah any further than he has. I hope he can but I have my doubts.
Bottom line is no matter what, I’m too damn old to stop being a loyal fan now.
