I write for a small sports blog and wrote an article on Alex and 2004 Utah’s impact on college football. Very similar to the Yahoo Sports one but let me know what u guys think. Go Utes.

This is why I maintain that the 2004 team could have one the natty that year if given the chance, even over usc.

they weren’t exactly bursting with nfl talent.  There was for sure some real dudes but they weren’t everywhere.  At least less so than 2008.

But they were in the cutting edge of offensive football with a really good Whitt run defense.  Everybody was still running the I formation.

nobody had figured out how to stop it yet…

Still wish that team could have faced what was a strong Texas squad instead of Pitt in the Fiesta Bowl and see how good we really were.

Should have been matched up with undefeated Auburn who was also left out of the title game.

I think 10-12 guys from that 2004 team ended up on NFL rosters.
