  I still like our chances. Especially next week. Not guaranteeing anything. Especially after what our guys have been through. But, I think just based on who our leaders are and who Whit is we rally. We have ASU/ UCLA at our place in altitude. Neither are as good as everyone thinks they are.
  
  I think we have as good as chance as anyone in the South.

  I like the optimism. But aren’t you putting your faith in the same team leaders and coaching staff that has underperformed to this point?

    We were all at rock bottom after loosing to UNLV in 2007 but the same players and coaches responded with an amazing run. It can happen.

      Or Brian Johnson came back from injury. Unless you think Brewer is going to pull himself out of the portal and go Joe Williams on the conference, I’m not seeing the parallel.
      
      I am a little on the bitter side since I couldn’t look at a Ute article for the last 6 months that didn’t say how many leaders were on the team; how focused they were on finally getting a Pac championship; how it was the most talented team, position group, etc.,, Either those leaders and coaches were blowing smoke or they are not effective self-evaluators. Either way, expecting that a week off will allow the same people who lead the team to where it is now to have a sudden epiphany and fix enough to start a run is a stretch. I’d love to be wrong

        I am an optimist and hope we can settle in after all the CBs and safeties we went thru and hope that Rising and Ludwig get a game plan down for who we have. But I saw many mistakes by the coaches at the Y game that need to be fixed. Myself, I don’t care what the media has to say, I view it like a coach where I can’t get down but instead spend all my time thinking about how we get better. If we were 2 and 8 I would be thinking about what can be fixed to win the next one.
