      Most of you are probably too young to remember long-time Tribune sports editor – John Mooney.  He once wrote a column about Utah’s 5 best football games.  I think this was written in the late 60s, maybe early 70s.  In any event 3 of the 5 games were losses like the loss to Army in the 1950s.

      Things have changed a lot in the last 50 years.  We now have many great games to choose from.

      Army was badass back in the 40s-50s. I do remember, Mooney. He was usually kind of snarky about the Utes.

        Army and Navy had almost all of the top talent during WW2. They also got a lot due to the draft in the 50’s.

        The talent they were able to assemble in those days would make Alabama today seem like a G5 team.
