We could end up tied for first or in seventh place.  That’s how tight things are at the top.

I think we end up in the top four.  If we win out, the worst we can end up is a tie for second and a third seed.  We could end up with the second seed by winning out, a CU victory over UCLA and a UCLA win over USC.

In the end, the only thing that really matters is what we do.  If we win out, that will be a 7 game winning streak with wins against some pretty good teams.  That and a win or two in the PAC 12 tourney should guarantee a trip to the big dance.  I doubt that we have what it takes to win the PAC 12 tourney, but with UA’s problems – who knows.  Just go and beat USC on Saturday!

I actually think the team has a good shot at winning the tournament.  The only team that I didn’t think Utah would be able to beat in the tournament was Arizona.  If Trier is out for the tournament (given the way they played against OSU last night), there is no reason to believe that Utah can’t beat them.

Trier is out for the rest of the season isn’t he?

Arizona is appealing his suspension.  I don’t see how they will win the appeal.

I think that is likely the case.  However, last night the announcers were saying that the NCAA agreed that the PED found in his system could have been a remnant from his failed test a year ago.  I find that really hard to believe, but I am no expert in biology and how long these things stay in the body.

Yes, but he wasn’t allowed to begin play until all traces had left his system which is why it’s still a problem.

Right, the Utes can’t let up.  Need to get these two last wins!
