Very much want this one. College sports and conference affiliation in the entire Western part of the country is a terrible mess due largely to the LA schools heading to the Big10.

I am with you! UCLA was not an offensive juggernaut last season but their rushing defense was in the top 5 last year in the Big10. I have no clue what our WRs will be this season and if they make us one dimensional on offense that could be trouble.

After the last couple of seasons, I am trying to be mentally prepared for Utah to lose every game.
After the usual overdose of off-season kool-Aid, I am hopeful that Utah will win every game.I know reality will be somewhere in between, but hopefully the wins (and losses) are more entertaining.
I am definitely not counting UCLA as a guaranteed…[Read more]

They’ll fire Sitake before they stop buying players.

“Johnson”, “packages”, “hands”, “ball”
“ball in Johnson’s hands”
Hard to read all this with a straight face. Seems I am not the only immature person around here 🙂.

Morgan Scalley said he was interested in the candidates for OC because they did things that made life hard for defenses. I am guessing/hoping that part of that is being a bit less obvious with play calling based on certain personnel (i.e. not calling the same gadget play every time Johnson is in the game).
Beck likes to run an option play…[Read more]

Last time we played (and lost) in Pasadena I remember being so frustrated that they were the more physically dominant team. If I remember right, their center was cooking our D-line. And they had DTR and Charbonnet at the time which makes for a very difficult offense to scheme against, but still, they just repeatedly punched us in the mouth and…[Read more]

I just can’t imagine Utah overlooking UCLA- or anyone for that matter.

I hate it when Utah utilizes “packages” for particular players that indicate precisely which play will be run making the defense completely prepared. Utah has done this a lot.
Please, please, please don’t be predictable in trying to get certain players enough touches. It does not work well.
Beck is supposed to be creative- I dearly hope so if…[Read more]

After our past two seasons and our ugly transition into the Big XII pretty much all Big XII creator social media accounts are unwatchable from a Utah perspective. Locked on Big XII is constantly glazing BYU. John Kurtz is super friendly towards BYU, Pete Mundo with Heartland college sports is probably one of the more fair/objective recently but…[Read more]

He is an amazing athlete. We need to figure out ways to use him to make our offense more productive.
Many years ago, when Mac was the head coach and Lusk was in the backfield, we played a game that we lost, and Lusk had less than 10 touches. Mac said in the postgame interview that we need to get him the ball. We did and had great success.

Yes ALUF. Their propaganda efforts when we entered this league have led some fanbases to hate us without even having any exposure to us, our fans, coaches etc. But they can’t hide who they really are and over time, if it hasn’t happened already, other fanbases in this league will realize why they’re the most hated fanbase in college football.

I’m 50/50 or even 60/40 (loss). They always have high talent players. It’s the first week. It’s a road game. New offense etc.

Beach news alert it was a hypothetical realignment by a hack that had nothing else to write about. Both teams (Utah BYU)have not been good. My point being talent wise not much separation. If you want to say BYU has been better great. I would have the same opinion if Utah made 8 tournaments and BYU 2 switching conferences. You have a much better…[Read more]
