There’s retribution coming for Harlan’s sh!t fit. I don’t think that ended with the fine. Though there is less predictability than ever, I expect the schedule to be slanted against us (road game travel, road game opponent, bye week timing, etc).

Personally. I currently know what the roster looks like… Every major player and backup. Without knowing the order of the schedule it’s obvi tough to predict… But here is what I do know.
1. Utah under Whit has always been better as underdogs. Always.
2. Utah D will be solid again if not great. Depends how these new corners look and if we can…[Read more] -

Whitt would finish reading it, blink twice, and get up to go and find out which one of the coaches I am.

It’s a lot more fun when your team doesn’t fall off a cliff and pretends it has no idea how it got there.

Oh well. I mean if you do well people think you’re going to do well again in the future.
We could easily win 9 or 10 games this year if the offense clicks and we find suitable replacements across the roster.
But what’s going to happen instead is that our offense takes a step up. I mean… not like it can go down (I said this exact same thing…[Read more]

Absolutely, also if you have the patience and/or skill to resync often, I like to rewind and watch any of the TV filler content during the commercials on a timeout. Then I can always catch up and resync when the game is back on. So it’s kind of the best of both worlds because the TV usually has some interesting special interest stuff on past…[Read more]

Price isn’t the deciding factor. Winning is probably the deciding factor but I’m not sure that’s enough anymore. Basketball isn’t as interesting to people in these times, and there are 20 games!

Just an FYI though for anyone attempting this maneuver, it doesn’t happen often, probably only happened to me a handful of times that I can recall, but if the radio is ahead of the TV you are screwed. That is the kiss of death because there is no way that I found to pause the radio (I didn’t try purchasing a radio app like iHeart). I didn’t…[Read more]

I don’t know. The Utes don’t come anywhere close to completely filling the Lower Bowl for any games I’ve been to recently with the exception of the games versus BYU. That’s why, at every game, during the first media timeout, they tell fans to come get closer to the action and fill empty seats.

Well how much for the upper bowl, then? Your season tickets are $7.5 per ($150/20=$7.5) I just proposed $5 and kids under 12 get in free until the upper bowl starts filling up.

Winning. Which means imo, a new coach with better recruiting abilities, increased NIL support etc. That’s the only way it will turn around.

They were trailing in the the Utah game until Rose got hurt. I believe if Rose continued to play and was healthy, BYU coulda lost by two TDs or more. They lost to Kansas and barely beat OSU. They are a good team, but their record doesn’t reflect their play on the field. I expect the Big12 to me more competitive next year then it was this past…[Read more]

I remember back in the first years of the trey that as a tam the Lakers had something like ten 3pt attempts in the entire season.
Many teams average that per quarter now.

Probably the easiest fix is to move the 3 PT line a few feet back, say to 25 or 26 feet and, as you say, eliminate it completely from the corners. To me, Silver is essentially a caretaker…an NBA lifer who goes along with the flow to maintain his privileged job (he makes well over $10M a year). Whatever the case, the NBA has to do something…[Read more]

hey Utah – I feel exactly the same. Alienated from the team. Only cheering for the laundry at this point. Its all so so stupid.
Even for paying the players (which I’m in favor of in some fashion) this is about the dumbest way you could possibly do it.
Freeing up money for skiing, plays at Eccles Theater, other stuff. But I’m lurking on a…[Read more]

I think Silver is just too weak of a commissioner to make the radical changes the game needs to bring fans back. I know there have been suggestions like do away with the corner 3, only allow 15 3 point makes to count as 3’s, and of course a radical one which is make dunks worth 3 points. Until they solve the 3 point shot issue and let the…[Read more]

Tony, season tickets are pretty cheap regardless….mine are $150 per ticket in the Lower Bowl. And that’s for 20 home games. How much lower can ticket prices go?
