It appears you are including 2020 in your analysis. Since that year was so uneven, what would it look like if you replaced 2020 with 2019? Granted, that would help Utah due to the stellar 2019 but it would also be a more accurate comparison, if just for normalizing number of games played.

What about a team losing the past 5 bowl games makes you think their coach is more of an “executive consultant”?
I’m no closer to the program than you, but I am supremely confident that you’re wrong. The number that gets thrown around for the value of the Utah football team is $425 million. A D3 golf coach might get away with not really doing t…[Read more]

I’ve often wondered if K-Whitt has been operating as a semi-retired coach. From losing the past 5 bowl games in-a-row to giving the coach in waiting designation to Scalley, it’s often smelled as he’s playing more executive consultant than full time coach. I could be wrong. I am not close to the program—just my pure speculation.

I was born a bastard child in the early ’90s. Never knew my father — not officially, but the clues were there, quietly boxing out the truth in the corners of my childhood.
Mom was a single parent, a massage therapist working out of a little studio just a bounce pass from the University of Utah. We didn’t have much, but somehow — as if by magic…[Read more]

So a one time payment of $11.7 million per team (assuming the conference HQ keeps an equal share for itself), and then what value would they bring to the future TV contracts? I can’t imagine it would be enough to increase the per team payout.
Pass.

Gawd. If being in a conference with TSPP isn’t enough, make it worse by adding Boise State. 🤮🤮🤮

I don’t think Cal and Stanford want the B12, and I don’t think the B12 wants Cal and Stanford.
Cal/Stanford care about a conference’s academics and B12 academics are just not good enough.
The B12 might be more open, but that’s a lot of new travel to introduce for two not very good football teams who don’t match the character of the conferenc…[Read more]

Before the BigXII agreed to this, I’d be curious to see if Stanford, Cal, Oregon St, and Wazzou would ante up.

The @ Baylor game was 2023 with Barnes/Johnson as QB’s. 2024 was in Salt Lake and that is the game Rising was injured.

The Big 12 is a great conference, teams are recruiting great. Why do you and so many other goofs treat it like it’s trash?

Correction: Yormark joined the Big 12 after the expansion of BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF saved the league. He had no hand in keeping the conference together as that was set.
The only thing he did was reup their media rights without taking it to market, which did hurt the Pac-12 as they expected the Big 12 would play the market and up the…[Read more]

Good for him.
But KSL ranked Snowden as the 43rd best player in their “60 of I don’t know nothing about anything ranking”?
Media is such a joke all over the world.
