Entering the transfer portal does not necessarily mean the player leaves. For example, last year Micah Bernard entered the transfer portal but returned to Utah and rushed for 1,000 yards.

Yeah I mentioned my discussion with Cam’s dad in another thread or two and the gist was that IF he were to play next year, he’d be playing somewhere else.

Tough call on bringing in Dampier. His numbers may not transfer to the P4 level. I think Beck will adapt the offense to the talent of the QB. I would bring him in as an insurance policy but be open to a different style QB. I like the throw first run second type also. A young Josh Allen would be perfect. ( in my dreams anyway)

If allegations are true about not getting along with others in the locker room, then best for everyone if he plays somewhere else.

Cam was a stud when healthy and did things at Utah no other qb has done but it is best for the program to move on. The last two years were painful but the two Pac 12 Championship years were some of the best! I will always have good memories of Cam and what he did at Utah.

Love him for what he did for us in the PAC12 CCG years. Don’t love what he did to us the last 2 years, but not his fault for getting injured (and not like he’s going to give NIL money back). Also, I saw enough raw talent, particularly arm strength, from Isaac to see his potential in CFB. He can be a great QB but is soooo raw. I could see him getting picked up from multiple P5 schools.
