OnlyU, I’m guessing, with your inside knowledge, you have a sense of boosters and the frustration level… has to be frustration with Ludwig at this point?
Any idea on the locker room right now, major frustration (I mean, Tafuna was visibly emotional on Saturday night) is probably a given? Do you think this team bounces back and rights the shi…[Read more]

A couple dumber questions :). With half the season remaining, Why is it so hard for Utah to move on from Cam Rising and is KW losing the trust and confidence of his players, maybe even some coaches? CR has been the best unavailable QB option to win football games for Utah over the past two years. The healthy (if possible) 2024 version of CR is not…[Read more]

Utes need to poach a guy like Dan Laning, a young coach with some energy and a strong will to win.
LOL…I know you just posted that to see what reaction you could get from people. LOL, because, you know, the guy that turned down Alabama was just waiting for the Utah job to open up.

First off, I appreciate the sense of continuity that Ludwig has brought our offense. I can imagine it would be hard for quarterbacks and offensive players to learn a new system every season like years past. If I recall, Isaac Wilson came here based on his brothers advice to play for Ludwig and his pro-style offense. Ludwig was nearly poached by…[Read more]

There are more than a few defensive injuries to defensive leaders. Karene Reid being chief among them. If he can come back, I think it’s going to be a big spark to the defense. Missing O’Toole, Tanuvasa, Vimahi, and Damuni does not help.

Yeah I guess I wasn’t thinking about the “new” knee/leg injury.

Previous shoulder surgery. Big brace on knee. Already having to use more lower body to power the ball. And that was before he hurt fingers. And then he couldn’t even plant off his foot.

I think the first throw or two were shaking off the rust. I think after he went down awkwardly on that tackle that that caused the lack of being able to throw. He couldn’t plant off his back foot, like at all. Couldn’t escape pressure. Isaac should have been put in at that point.

We’ll be beating a dead horse to glue at this point!

Not 100 on this. But it looked like a high ankle sprain on his plant food. You can play through this. But mobility will be limited. That on top of an injured throwing hand is not good.

Were Cam’s passes in practice last week all great and zippy, but then in the game they started hitting open receivers behind them and at their feet?

Anfernee replied to the topic Go home in the forum Football 8 months ago
Confused by that as well.

Not sure you’re aware, but Morgan Scalley is the next head coach… Or are you talking about poaching an OC?

It’s the analytics… Anyway, I don’t think Whitt gets a pass. He himself said he’s to blame for the last two losses.

you sir are begging, the only bright spot that can come out of this season is to beat tspp! big12 champ is gone, and I bet lunch they lose the bowl game again, the team is stale and stagnate. time for some big changes

time to go home now Whitt, you have the deer in the headlights look.
Utes need to poach a guy like Dan Laning, a young coach with some energy and a strong will to win.
Ludwig is predictable as hell, I see the plays happening on tv before they develop and I am 65 for hells sake,
Utes need some young blood innovative play call and some aggression…[Read more] -

Been thinking a lot about turnovers. How Whit pounds into the team the concept of ball security and not turning the ball over. His reasoning is correct on every level. And we all know the reasons. Field position; game momentum; psychological affects on your team; changing the completion of the game; etc.
But what about a different type of…[Read more]

It’s a fallacy. Before this year, Utah has played really well as the favorite.

Agreed. We have six trips to the redzone and something like 9 points.
The losses are 100% on the offense. Sure, the defense saved us in year’s past with timely TO’s and they haven’t this year, but if we score TD’s in the rezone we are undefeated right now.
Our issues are 100% offensive play calling in the redzone.
