The Utes shot 28% for the game, 13% in the 2nd half. 1 for last 15 FG attempts. Scoreless last 3 min of the game. 3-22 from 3.
It was nice that our bigs scored a bucket and didn’t go O’fer.
Carlson is unbelievably bad this year. I have no idea what WTF he was doing all offseason, but it almost certainly didn’t involve lifting weights or playing anything even remotely resembling basketball. He should be an all conference type player. He has a good shooting stroke, he has the athleticism, and he has the frame to be a solid presence down low. No idea how he can suck so bad after being so promising last year.
Really ticks me off TBH
I can speculate one justifiable excuese. He got Covid-19 and lost 15-20 lbs of lean muscle mass. That’s the only thing that makes sense to me. A non-justifiable excuse is that the coaches are absolute confidence killers on these young men. I’ve been in work situations where it gets toxic and it absolutely kills your desire to work in a job that you may actually really like.
