It looks like they stole USC’s uniforms and stadium too.  Jerks.

No apologies needed! Any chance to **** on ASU is welcome. Mistake or not.

Our signature play is the shovel pass, no?

Since the Utes stole it from the Chicago Bears who ran it with Devin Hester and Johnny Knox in 2011, and the Utes have used it exactly once, not sure it can be called either a signiture play or theft…

The Utah Shovel Pass is called The Utah Shovel Pass because it was created here.  1957 and 1958.  Inovative Utah coach Jack Curtice, aka, “Cactus Jack” and Quarterback All American Lee Grosscup invented it.

I was commenting on the gunner drop punt return as was the original poster.  I think everyone knows the origin of the “Utah pass”.  Wish the dump shovel veer would make its way back into the playbook.

I’ve learned that ‘signature’ is not synonymous with ‘eponymous’. I have always use them interchangeably.
