    Agreed. Any football poll that lists Wisc-Whitewater 19 spots ahead of Wisc-Madison, and St. John’s (MN) 11 spots ahead of Minnesota is undoubtable without merit.

  I agree it is worthless, but mainly BECAUSE YBU isn’t on it. Not many people know this, because their fans never talk about it, but they won a national championship. I’m surprised their formula didn’t recognize that… Oh wait, their formula doesn’t give credit for losing the game rather than the other team beating you. That is definitely what was missing…

    Boise State, Appalachian State and ND State each won at least one national title at lower divisions over the years.

      Idaho State has won a national championship more recently than Boise State.
      
      1981 vs 1980, not much more recently, but basically, they both amount to the same about the strength of their football programs over time: not much.
