Herbert at Oregon is poised for a big year, and Costello at Stanford played pretty well the last half of the season. Consistency and decision makers by are key for Tyler. Talent wise he’s up there with anyone in the conference. Just needs to put it together week in and week out.

The accuracy thing kind of bugs me because it only factors in prediction at the time a prospect announces. I wish they only got one shot at a prediction. They would be a lot more careful about it, and it could be a more useful tool in my opinion. But i do agree, the fact that he has had all of his predictions right and he just put this in for Enis…[Read more]

Blair Aingulo, a west region guy who was on slc radio today or yesterday…I forget, said he thought Enis was go big to go to penn state…he just flipped his crystal ball from penn state to Utah. He must have received some news tonight that made him change his mind. This is definitely looking promising.

I’ve watched the crystal ball forecasts closely on a few recruits and from what I’ve been able to tell whenever there is a bunch of guys, especially national reporters, that all of the sudden start CBing a kid to a certain school, it pretty much always goes that way. I think what happens is the kid tells coaches/reporters and then they quickly go…[Read more]

I’ll be at the UCLA game. I’m starting the full time MBA program down there this fall so I’ll be moving to LA at the end of the summer. It would be fun to meet up with some Ute fans for that lgame. Kind of sucks it’s on a Friday though.

  • Until I see a quick/mass pick to one school I don’t put a lot of stock in crystal ball predictions. That being said, I’m not holding my breath for Sewell.

  • On the contrary, I think it would cause a drastic improvement in OOC scheduling. Teams would no longer be worried, or would be less worried about having an OOC loss, knowing if they win their conference title they are in.

I do think OOC would feel a little less meaningful, but the conference season and division races would be so much more…[Read more]

  • Sweetness replied to the topic ARod hired at BYU in the forum Football 1 month, 3 weeks ago

This is a good point. I actually had thought of that, but thought it seemed pretty unlikely. Coaching is a fickle business and he hasn’t made the legacy/foundation money that would be necessary to take the lesser paying job at a lesser school. If it doesn’t work out at BYU for him, who knows where his next stop will be? You have to take the money…[Read more]

  • Hopefully his grades are in order to join the team in January.

  • Yeah, I think it will look a little more similar to what we saw with TW, and so long as we have a solid RB with O-Line, I really, really like that picture :)! If TW could have just been a little quicker and more crisp with his decisions, he’d have been a hell of a QB, I think KingTut has a chance to be that guy.

??? I think we will always lose more than we win when it comes to recruiting against UW, so long as their program is not a mess.  There’s a reason they’ve consistently had top 20-15 recruiting classes the last 7-8 years. Seattle is an amazing city and UW is a great school.  No shame in losing this battle. We were never in it with Kaho.

  • I think 8 is the way to go. You go with the 5 power 5 champions, one G5, and two at large selections. I think it’s ridiculous that potentially the champions of the Big 10 and Pac12 might not have a chance to play for a national title.

No need to change the regular season schedule. This would amount to one extra game played by the final four…[Read more]

Thanks for creating this place for all of us tony! You’re a good man!

  • Seriously, how do the coaches look the players in the face after that game? The players ball out, give it their all for 59.5 minutes and then the coaches crap the bed. If I were a player I would be beside myself right now. To have your coach undermine everything you did for 59.5 minutes by calling that timeout. Can’t see how they recover after…[Read more]

There was a wisconsin insider that crystal balled him to Wisconsin a couple weeks ago and maybe it was just reaction to that, but there was some chatter on twitter about him wavering a little.

Yep, surprising to me how quickly things seemed to turn. Finishing out with a couple wins and a bowl win certainly wouldn’t hurt. Hopefully we can pull off the upset today.

From what I can glean, it looks like this recruiting class is starting to take a turn for the worse. Surprised after all the guys we put in the nfl last year, a top 25 class recruiting class, that one .500 season would kill all of our momentum. Early on it was looking promising but we seem to be missing out all of our top targets and rumblings are…[Read more]

  • I should be there.

Not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed with the attendance last week. They announced another sellout but lots of empty seats. Makes me worry what the turnout will be for the CU game. Surprised that we have had 3 straight ranked seasons contending for the division title and 1 .500 season and we’re having a hard time getting…[Read more]

  • ha, yeah from an on the field perspective I think it’s about 40% chance we win, but more it’s just a gut feeling I have that it’s going to be a crappy day. If the defense can rekindle a little bit of their magic and get a few turnovers and provide short fields for our offense, I think we have a great shot. I think it will be tough to run the ball…[Read more]

  • If I’m being honest, I’m not liking the way this game is lining up. Wazzu just beat the stanford team that beat up on washington pretty good yesterday, it’s an afternoon home game, BYU won last night, I’ve got a ton of yard work to do that I’ve been putting off…feels like it’s setup to be a pretty crappy Saturday. Hopefully I’ll be…[Read more]
