3* rating who looks every bit a solid 4* talent from watching his highlights. Love seeing that our coaches were first in finding this kid. Sounds like they’ve been on him for awhile and Utah will be his 1st official visit. Would be a great start to the Class of ‘22…go Utes!

So glad the dead period is finally over and we can start seeing recruits back on campus.

the arm strength will translate at the next level and he’s got enough mobility to keep LB’s from crashing too hard. footwork will need to be cleaned up and he’s a bit of a shoulder thrower but there’s plenty of time to get the mechanics straightened out. most of the highlights featured a clean pocket so you can’t tell from the tape how he handles different pressures.

the kid who i’d really like to see more of was #3. ludwig’s O just begs for a quick-twitch slot receiver with top end speed.

I definitely want to see a lot more of JQJ too, no question. This post is just about the recruiting class of ‘22 and we should always be taking at least 1 QB in every class. I just liked seeing that our coaching staff had found this kid before everyone else.

I wasn’t referring to Ja’Quinden Jackson – who doesn’t like to be called JQJ.

#3 in the video on the page you linked is who I was talking about. There’s a play about 2/3 of the way in where he catches a post just short of and between two safeties. 40 yards or so later he scored and it looked the safeties didn’t even bother to try catching him they were so far behind. Later on, he catches a ball around the 5 with multiple defenders in front of him. A couple of Barry Sanders type moves later, he scores untouched.

i’m all for bringing in a high quality QB recruit every year. that doesn’t mean that other players you see on the same tape / on the same recruiting trip shouldn’t also be looked at. heck, Utah would have loved getting Chris Olave from the same school they got Tuttle.

Makes sense now, thanks for clarifying. Definitely agree with you.

Man Tuttle’s WR group made him look so good.

That’s how the Utes landed Jaylen Dixon. They were watching a game for Jason Shelley and he caught their attention.
