Everyone talked about DTR, Bobo, Charbonnet and the Chippenator. Nothing on Utah.
Then David Pollack said all you guys are talking about is UCLA, what about Utah? Give them some credit. Big emphasis on line play and that getting after DTR is how we can win.
Herbie likes Utah and is usually very complimentary of us….unless is Ohio State or Chip Kelly, then he goes total fanboy. Didn’t see the actual picks at the end, did anyone else?
McAfee was the only one to pick Utah
Yep, 3 out of 4 picked UCLA.
It’s a hangover perception lingering from us not taking care of business in Gainesville…..They want to see us win big on the road against a capable opponent first before they believe it.
I think you’re spot on. DTR looked amazing in the Washington game, he concerns me for sure.
Saw a film breakdown for the Florida game that basically showed diabate being overly aggressive and abandoning his gap, which led to chunk plays. I would expect that to be fixed by now. Also curious to see if we stick with Pepa on the DL this game.
Big test for Utah. Utes have not faced a QB or RB close to the talent of DTR or Charbonnet. Tough match up for Utes defense. This game will come down to Utah scoring a lot of points, turnover margin, and the coaching edge for a win. Still not sold on Utah’s LBs and edge pressure which will be problem today for Utah against UCLAs offense.
Conversely, UCLA hasn’t faced a D the caliber of ours…..It works both ways.
Agree, Utah is the more complete team. Crazy how young Utah still is this year and getting better. I think UCLA can get their yards and lose because Utah is overall a better team, including coaching. Utes got this one if they don’t turn the ball over and play their game all 4 qtrs.
