that’s pretty darn impressive… Even if MVSU is absolute hot garbage. Just making enough shots to score 143 points in that amount of time is impressive.

clearly we have some guys that can shoot the three. Jones, Plummer, Gach, Brenchley, Battin… The question is, which of those guys can make it when the defense actually cares to try?

      Well that was fun….

Here’s a couple of records for this game:
Most points scored in a game (143)
Most points scored in a half (73)
First time with two triple doubles in a game (Gach and Jones)
Largest margin of victory in school history (94)
Largest margin of victory for a D1 vs. D1 game in NCAA history (94)

We have some guys that can score, that is for sure… but we still know very little. I’m not sure we could have scored more even if the other guys didn’t bother running to the other side of the court to play defense. Their big man was possibly the worst I have ever seen.

Meh. I’m just going to revel in the offensive onslaught for a while before I try to figure out what we know about this team. I mean, I think tonight we scored more points than we did in the entire Majerus era.

            9 guys in double figures.

One major positive: Allen 12/12 on free throws.

Clearly MVSU needs to work on their free throw defense.

That was one of the few times they got in front of Utah players.

I could complain, but I won’t. The Utes sent a message to people who whine to tone it down.

Dropping 143 points is hard. This team might be a touch better than I thought.

Hopefully the Utes can see the rim that wide all year at home.

Many calling this a bad look for the program and Utah basketball. Kind of pathetic that MVSU didn’t ever try to stop the Utes.

What are they supposed to do? Stop playing?

Yeah I agree. I saw many of the highlights. The hoop was closed shut for the visiting team. I guess Utah could have dribbled the ball and took a shot clock violation so as not to RUTS. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Utes are encouraged to play a high tempo. That’s why we scored 143. Honestly the dumb turnovers we had in the game we could have eclipsed 150 and the elusive 100 point win. The other team did not play defense at all. It was pathetic. Worst defensive effort I’ve ever seen from a basketball team. They didn’t even try. Honestly if fire my coach right now if I was ad of mvsu.

The Utes played great and punished bad defense.
