Honestly, I think the comedian / political pundit thing did get tired over there, but I don’t begrudge them for the relationships (albeit online ones) that they made on UF.N. That’s a long time to get to know people in an online community. One would expect with such a longstanding community like that there would be inside jokes, cliques, etc.

But…

Something tells me the spirit of inclusion is a lot more prevalent on this board. It’s a lot more sports-centric. That helps. 🙂

This new home page layout got it right. Question: I like the hide replies format, but when I go to the next page it reverts to “show replies”.  Is show replies the default or can I get it to stay in hide replies mode?

Yeah it goes back to default with each page, which is replies open and content shrunk. It is possible to make it default the other way but would take quite a bit of work.

I’m already getting used to just clicking the “hide replies” button at the top when everything loads.  I’ve tried to make this site home a number of times going back to the launch, but this new format is finally the one that works for me. Thanks.

 

Also, for the “show replies” button, it would be really cool (but likely impossible) if it said “show (n) replies” where n was obviously the number of replies.  That would give an awesome quick glance indicator of a hot thread.
