    He was good to have around, just not sure I’d call it a shame. He wasn’t going to see the field at QB, and some things would have to happen in order for him to see the field at safety. No real reason for him to stick around, and it doesn’t really hurt us either.

  Shelley didn’t play a ton, but when he did he provided us with some of the most memorable performances in Ute history, like when he beat Oregon and when he jumped over that zoob defender.

    Led us to the comeback against TDS a few years ago (including his 30 yard TD run where he stiff armed the defender and pushed him out of the way). Great stuff.

  Really sucks. But not surprised, I thought he was embracing the D. But, if he wants to play QB he’s gotta go somewhere else. He’s just not a PC-12 QB. Will always love Jason Shelly as a Ute.
