  What’s the inside scoop on his recruitment? He seems to be a polarizing figure amongst the fan base, but I know nothing about his story. Did he originally commit to Utah?

  We recruited him fairly hard. If you use the search (it actually works!) you can find a lot of discussion about him.

  We thought we had him. He switched commitment last minute due to either family pressure or the promise he would start day one (or both).
  
  Seems pretty good, would have been a nice get. But I’m good with where we are right now.

  Parents are divorced. Dad wanted Utah Momma wanted anywhere but Utah because dad wanted Utah. He was basically a silent commit to Utah and shutting down his recruitment but Mom contacted ASU at the 11th hour and told them she had major pull in his choice and they should get involved.
