Can’t say I am surprised since it gives the school an out by firing him “for cause” so that they don’t have to pay him his guarantee. However, he seemed to be a bit over his head  and I know he was a bit of disappointment with recruiting as well.

Although I may have my frustrations at times with Coach Whitt,  I am in the camp that feels very fortunate that we have him knowing how extremely difficult it is to find good coaches as replacements out there.

The school is still honoring his 9 million that he is owed.

Pretty sure that he would only be able to sue for the remainder of his contract if they had fired for cause. It would have been tough to prove punitive damages were required to restore his reputation after the national sheetstorm of the past week.

He was fired without cause. I guess WA is a right to work state.
