  Initial thoughts are that the injury isn’t too bad. Will know more tomorrow. I’ve said it before but we have 7 O-lineman that are ready to play at the PAC 12 level. Anything approaching last year’s injuries and we’re in 6-6 type trouble. We can really almost afford a few injuries in every other position group except O-line. Need some luck there this year.

  I realize this probably sounds crazy, but would there be any value moving one of our stable of DL to OL?

    It can and will work if needed. They have already told a couple of them that if we get hit by injuries they will move them over. Moved Nick Ford to OL already…He was a DL recruit and guys like Leki Fotu would be moved if needed during the season.

      Like Onlyu stated, Ford has already moved.
      
      We have talent. That talent may be forced to play sooner than we thought.
      
      And Fotu isn’t playing on the OL. He will start at DT next year for us and play a ton this year. He is going to get paid.

        100% agree with you about Leki getting paid as a DT but with as athletic as he is and with that big body he has been told he’s an emergency move. He would adjust faster than any other candidate if needed because he’s massive and moves so well. Freak athlete. That said NO ONE including Leki or the coaches want that to happen as he’ll take 40-60% of the reps as the 2 this year.

    If Lo can’t play we still have Umana, Capra, Scott, Grant, Richardson etc. No need for anyone to change positions yet.
