IDC if he is the short yardage guy, averaging 2.5 yards per carry an 6 carries is awful… and he had a fumble.

I really want to see him succeed, and I’m actually a bit of a Bills fan (don’t really care for the NFL, but to the extend that I do, I’m a Bills fan), but it’s clear that he is not thriving with the Bills.

Now, if they really like what he brings, and are comfortable getting 2.5 ypc out of their short yardage guy, and they are committed to keeping him around, I guess staying isn’t a bad option… but they don’t seem committed to him at all, and his role is constantly changing.

I like his role(s) at Buffalo. Fans at my Bills’ bar enjoy him.

Counterargument: Moss was the 6th best pass blocking RB in the NFL in 2021, is my understanding. As much as Buffalo throws, this makes him a valuable commodity. Although he only had 6 of the 15 RB rushes last night, he had 6 receptions on 6 targets, not bad, all other Bufallo RB’s combined for 2 receptions. Moss is making $1.1M per year, on top of a $900k signing bonus, his contract is good through 2023. I think he’s a good fit for what Buffalo is trying to do.

Yep. And he’ll get that sweet NFL pension I think after this year. Maybe next year but I think he’s in a good spot.

And he may be getting a Super Bowl ring this year. Obviously too early to tell but Buffalo looked good last night.

It did feel a bit Mountain West Conference when Allen and Diggs connected on those two long bombs.

I think Moss is in the best possible spot. He is RB1B on the best team in the NFL. He is not getting beat up with too many carries on a average team. When he runs play action is becomes a primary target in the passing game. It has been hard to gain the highest level of acceptance in Buffalo but look at the team he is working to stick on.

yeah… silly me… you are right, I’m sure he is perfectly happy being second or third fiddle at the RB position (of a team that hardly ever hands the ball of to their RBs) on a super bowl contending team. Why on earth would he want to play somewhere where they actually run the ball with their running backs? After all, Moss did become a running back so he could pass block and catch the occasional dump off pass. Isn’t that why everyone becomes a running back?

Keep in mind Moss is not an established RB in the NFL. Early in fall camp he was fighting for a roster spot and has climbed up into his current spot. I was at the Bill’s game yesterday, I felt like he had a good game and he looked like he was enjoying himself. Along with Huntley I am so anxious for success for Moss. But in the interest of full disclosure, the Bills are my NFL team…

Happy to hear there are more Bills fans on this sight. That makes three of us that I can think of off the top of my head.

I too am a Bills fan, since the four-in-a-row Superbowl debacles.
