Yeah, hopefully another Marquise Blair part 2. Scalley and Shah have their own, unique checklist for recruiting the players having all the god given talent willing to work and buy in to the program. A kid with his size and skill set will be coached up to do the rest. Classic Utah big, lengthy, ball hawk safety that can cover, get off blocks and play close to the line of scrimmage. Would not be surprised if the Utes don’t pick-up another DB or two.

Because of his size I was thinking Corrion Ballard but if he’s like either Blair or Ballard that would be a good get from the transfer portal

The Utes do a good job of evaluating talent at that level. Someone already mentioned Blair. Obviously they don’t all pan out but a couple other recent examples are Kincaid and Thomas.

CI was an outstanding get…..The Athletic ranked him the #15 portal prospect…..And like others, I readily defer to our coaches’ ability to evaluate/project.
