Saw an article that Nebraska is likely cancelling their spring game so other teams can’t scout and then poach. I’d normally say that’s ridiculous but these last few years have shown that it’s actually possible. Should we consider following suit and keeping the game closed to the public and media? I don’t care about the closed door policy if that will stop our players from being tampered with.
Imagine a stupid league where you pay players without a contract, train them at your own expense, and then have them leave whenever they want before they play a game. That’s negative ROI.
Schedule the spring game after the transfer portal window. Problem solved. Now let’s just not play any of the games in the actual season we don’t want lose any players! It’s such a stupid thought process.
