The history of Utah football has crests and valleys, but the long-term trajectory has been positive.  When we suffer a setback like the Oregon loss, I think back about where we were, where we are, and the fact that change takes time.  Where are we now?  We just won the south division back to back.  4 years ago, what would you have given for that outcome?

The power of the Utah story is a program that continues to build.  The goal should be incremental improvements year upon year.  Stability, coaching, recruiting, facilities.  I see that.  I believe.

Missing the Rose or CFP with such a talented team really hurts. Hope we can get back to that point soon. I sense that players and fans don’t really care about the Alamo Bowl since we missed our goal. Sad but true. I wonder if we even show up as a team?

It does hurt, but the beauty of playing the long game is in the realization that there will be other, even more talented teams in Utah’s future.

This may have been the best team we’ve had to date, but I guarantee there will be even better teams coming.
