ParticipantDoes anyone know if the game is still on for tonight with all the protests at Cal right now?

ParticipantI was hoping those idiots would burn the place to the ground so we wouldn’t have to play Cal ever again.

ParticipantThat’s a profound statement of ignorance. You’d be happy that an institution that has produced dozens of Nobel laureates, including quite a number from your claimed field of expertise, burned to the ground? It’s rhetoric like this that fans the flames of the current political climate in this country.

ParticipantUtes Basketball is like the US Postal Service, neither Ice Storm nor Protests nor gloom of night stays these roundballers from the swift completion of their appointed games.

ParticipantThe only regret would be it isn’t USC.

InactiveWhy do you hate the people at Cal-Berkley? why would you do that to them? Nobody deserves that.

ParticipantI realize that you are joking, but you do bring up something important here. The intent of the OP was clearly not to create a political storm, but one poster ruined the thread by making a blatant political statement. Look, people, do you want this message board to become Utefans, junior, or are you willing to exercise a little self-restraint and not politicize sports-related threads? Can we manage to not allow our little brains to be permantly caught up in the politics of the moment? Let’s try and leave the sports-related talk free from inflammatory political rhetoric. If you want to make political statements, do so in the proper category. That’s what the politics category is for. Sound good?
