PARK CITY – The Utes begin Day 2 of the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Skiing Association Championships after a successful outing on Thursday, a day which included three Giant Slalom events.
Utah sit 19 points out of 1st place after Day 1 of the RMISA Championships. The GS events were highlighted by a podium finish in the Men’s competition for senior Huston Philp.
Day 2 completes the Alpine portion of the RMISA Championships with Men’s and Women’s slalom events.
In addition to the opening sessions of the conference championships, the final event of the Utah Invitational was completed yesterday. Utah, which had wrapped up the top spot in the Ute Invite on 12Feb, increased their overall lead and snatched the Men’s Alpine title from Westminster in this postponed Men’s Giant Slalom event.
