ParticipantIf there is one thing I have learned in the PAC12 this season is – don’t take anything for granted. ASU was a 15 point favorite yesterday and got beat up by WSU. This is how I see our remaining games.
Stanford – Not a great team, but they were good enough to upset Oregon and beat USC early in the season prior to all the turmoil. Unlike many years – they do not have a rushing attack and their weakness on defense appears to be the run game. I suspect that you will see an offensive game much like last night with a lot of running. We should win this game, but Stanford will not beat themselves.
Arizona – I know many if not most of you see this game as a gimme AND you know what – it should be. But, Arizona has played a couple of close games. This could be a trap game. We cannot take this game lightly. If you don’t think UA can win – look back to our first year in the PAC12 and the only thing we had to do (to win the South) was beat a CU team that had not won on the road in 3 seasons. We lost.
Oregon – Oregon is vulnerable. I have watched them play many times. They have two of the best defensive players in the conference, yet their defense has not always been stellar. We will be at home and hopefully will come into the game 7-3. I think Utah wins this game in a high-scoring affair.
Colorado – Is not great and it’s one we should take care of. I hope we have the South in hand before this game. We should win, but need to focus, avoid turnovers, and put them away early.

ParticipantHope for 4-0 of course. I agree with all of your statements though. Utah has a very winnable schedule. Thomas has really emerged as a threat. fUCLA was allowing very little on the ground and the Utah oline with Thomas really bullied them. Anymore box stacking Rising will cut them up.
That package on the Kincaid touchdown was so sick. Kincaid rolls from the opposite side behind the line and catches the easy score. Just amazing execution.
4-0 is my hope but Utah has a game cushion and I hope Oregon St wins the North so Utah defense can redeem themselves. Even if Baylor scares me a lot. -

ParticipantAgree with both takes. Read an article about the AZ USC game on thr ESPN app and the writer was impressed with Arizona. They kept the game close, had a decent comeback and are playing their best football. Also thought part of AZ remaining schedule was winnable. I think they already have two 4* recruits too IIRC. They are absolutely trending up and we have to take care of business.
That Kincaid drag was my favorite play of the game. I specifically watched the other two receivers get covered, they Kincaid comes out of nowhere for a cross body pass from Cam. Well designed, well executed.
Lastly, after the Covey interview with Bill Riley, I firmly believe in Ludwig and really respect him as a playcaller. When Covey broke down the errors, it made all the sense in the world why we didn’t score at OSU. Plays were there, execution wasn’t. Anyone that doubts Ludwig go listen to that interview.

ParticipantNot to get ahead, but when we play Oregon .. do we want to win it, tip our hand .. Or wait to beat them in the championship game and give them the playoff spot and us the Rose Bowl ? Assuming we stay on course

ParticipantWIN always win. Oregon’s path does nothing for Utah. I think Utah has an established reputation at this point. The OOC for the next two seasons can really spotlight the program nationally. Oregon isn’t getting a playoff spot either.

ParticipantAgreed. Win out, go to the Rose Bowl the favorite, dominate. Bam, trophy number 3 of the NY6. Then come into next season as a top 10 team and in the CFP discussion.
Oooh, that’s hot. 😉
