I hope I’m wrong but I think we’re looking at a one and done.
Oregon is playing their best basketball right now and has a great defense. If our 3s aren’t dropping this game will get out of control in a hurry. With that said, when we’re making our 3s we’re a very tough team to beat.
I think this game will either be a close Utah win or an Oregon blowout game.
A good coach would devise a strategy for beating that defense, right?
I hope WSU and Oregon go 5 OTs on Wednesday. Honestly if Utah can stay hot from outside and limit TOs Oregon doesn’t scare me and Utah will win. The Utes had them beat earlier in the season and let it slip away when OU turned up the defensive pressure. Oregon is very hit or miss this season. They lose on the road to Colorado USC UCLA Oregon St. then beat up a Washington team that completely laid down the last game of the season.
Larry is like 2-14 against Altman all time – Oregon should terrify you.
Heck, Wazzu scares me too. Robert Franks is capable of going off for 40 on any given night.
I agree. It wasn’t just defensive pressure. It was pressing on every play and using up all their energy. It clearly showed too because Oregon got destroyed in their next game against Colorado, obviously a byproduct of expelling all their energy pressing every position against Utah in their previous game.
Utes get Bill Walton for all of their games…
WSU was playing lights out for a stretch late season, hopefully that team shows up, wins in a nail biter against Oregon and Utah has a double digit win against WSU… I can dream right???
