Top 4 transfers still available in May 2023
7 Under the radar transfers for 2023
If you include Rising, 10 of the 12 PAC starters are transfers and only Caleb Williams wasn’t considered a bust or a reclamation project. Roughly 70% nationally of all QB starters are transfers. They can’t all have been in the Heisman…[Read more]

shouldn’t that also apply to the OP? The “no one would dare challenge Rising” trope has passed it’s expiration date.

He would also believe that he can win any competition necessary to get the job.

I’m going to need you to stop posting on this thread. Your recognition of the quality of Utah’s defense is not appreciated when it is obvious that wholesale changes MUST BE MADE NOW!

That is a coaching decision. Meyer wanted to attack in all phases of the game. Whitt, even though he learned under Edwards, believes in a stifling defense, great special teams, and an offense that doesn’t make mistakes. In that respect he’s more Woody Hayes than a modern head coach, “three things can happen when you pass the ball and two of…[Read more]

Welcome to the season 🙂
The explanation is coaching and play calling. WSU calls a lot of quick plays to the flats so that they can open up their vertical pass game. OSU showed that they were susceptible to that approach. I didn’t watch the CAL game but they have Jake Spavital calling plays who you might remember from the Jared Goff years.…[Read more]

Williams played hard all game, just as you would expect, and took some serious shots. I was being facetious in the OP.

In the 2nd half against UCLA, Utah routinely dropped 7 and rushed only 4. They were able to do that because the D Line was regularly getting home and they had already taken UCLA’s run game away. Utah was able to do this using their base nickel defense. In your scenario, they should pull LB’s who are getting the job done and replace them with…[Read more]

so Utah will hit it’s season average? Shouldn’t they do better if SC is as bad as we think?

Utah is tied for 5th in the country in scoring defense and is 13th in yards allowed per. Don’t fix what ain’t broke.
Now if you want to recreate the wheel on offense, there’s plenty of Utah fans who will applaud any suggestions you might have.

They threw a flag on about 6 straight plays. It reminded me of Utah-SC in 2019.
How can anyone in the PAC offices think that all those flags, miss calls, etc are good for the game? Watching that Red River game or any SEC game where they let them play is so much better.

How do you call roughing on that?
The refs have no idea what is going on in this game

Utah’s defense is just fine. They will run some dime when necessary but the D isn’t the issue. If the offense can’t give them any help, it won’t matter.

The Rambling Wreck took down Miami. Tough week to be a ranked team. Notre Dame, Texas, Missouri, Miami, WSU, Kentucky. Arkansas had Mississippi on the ropes.
