I also live in the DFW area and just rechecked and found no watch parties. There is an Alumni Chapter but doesn’t appear to be particularly active. Best bet is a Sports Bar as it’s on ESPN – but being a U fan/alum, you’ve already figured that out!

A work colleague of mine used to describe the appearance of “sharks and minnows” that would show up when any endeavor was thrashing about for survival. Scattershooting on random thoughts re conference realignment – not to get all preachy, but in the U’s case, virtue is its own reward.
