Is picture in picture still a thing? It sucks that we keep getting lined up with the Prime show.

I wonder what California kids think about that. On one hand they get to play for the school they might have grown up following, and it’s in a “better” league… But on the other hand there’s a decent chance it’s less competitive in that league and it’s not playing any of the schools they grew up watching their team play.

If he doesn’t have a great shot at the NFL, why not take the medical redshirt and come back to make a couple hundred k in NIL money?

Idaho is an odd place. I always think of Idaho as Canada’s Florida.

Seems like every year I hope we don’t lose rb’s to the portal for being buried on the depth of chart, but then we’re starting our 3rd and 4th string rb’s in week two ha ha.

There were a couple drops and a couple balls thrown behind. Enough that if cleaned up would represent an improvement. Not threatening Ohio state, but going in the right direction.
I don’t think it’s run run run pass either. Plays are pretty equally distrubuted and I think I saw we had slightly more passing plays last year. The issue is that most…[Read more]

I was surprised at how bad the body language became for lsu at the end. They just wanted off the field.

Ya I think it’s like most leagues, a couple of good teams at the top and a bunch of mediocre teams that you need to stay focused on to hold serve. I don’t think any conference can go 6-7 deep like this year’s pac.
Ucf looks solids though. Gaudy numbers against a trash team…. But that’s what you’re supposed to do. I think ucf, k state, Utah…[Read more]

There’s tape on them now so better, deeper programs won’t be taken by surprise. They are definitely way better than before, but do they have enough depth to grind out enough wins to get to a bowl? I still don’t see it. But 5-7 is still a huge improvement.

Their o-line looks terrible, and their backup qb must be even worse if they are leaving that qb in who can’t hardly stand up.

It wouldn’t surprise me if ESPN put pressure on Utah to disclose the starting QB. Wasn’t the network pretty sour about the Washington State situation?
It wouldn’t surprise me to see Barnes trotted out to start the game, and then NJ replace him after the first series.

I don’t know if this has any bearing, but I’ve always wondered if there is a difference in commitment from guys/kids that are recruited to be a part of a program and chose to be a part of that team based upon that recruitment, vs guys that are just there for the payday.
They’ve got a lot of mercenaries on that team, but the kind of kid looking…[Read more]

Surprise: We win a lot of games with back up quarterbacks.
Disappointment: We don’t win enough of them to compete for the final P12 crown or NY6 bowl game.

There has to be exactly zero players in college football that are excited to try and tackle Yassmin one on one in the open field. It’s like running uphill in Pamplona.
I don’t know if it’s out of design, necessity, or QB limitations but it seems like 90% of our throws only go to 2 maybe 3 different targets every year. This year it feels like we…[Read more]

I see a lot of Baylor and Nebraska (not big 12) recruiting into Utah these days, which makes the fact that we seem to have really locked down the in state talent the last few years feel even sweeter.

Thinking out loud, Stanford could easily put together an independent schedule, but I wonder if cal could even pull it off with the four corner schools all having a desire to stay relevant in California for recruiting.
