In 1982 Utah travelled to Austin and lost 21-12 to the Shorthorns.  Texas was ranked #18 at the time.   It was Chuck Stobart’s first season at the helm and Utah would go on to have a disappointing WAC conference season, finishing 2-4 in the WAC, and 5-6 overall.
