Yes. The biggest issue is that BYU is adapting. Is Utah? I think some fans here are whistling past the graveyard right now. We can laugh at BYU overpaying players but they have clearly figured out their shortfalls and are now in the process of doing something about it.
Utah? I don’t know. It feels like Utah is keeping with the status quo and I’m not very optimistic that’ll work in the NIL era.
What I see from BYU is that they’re proactive in adjusting to the changing landscape of college football, while Utah is stuck doing the same thing that might have worked five years ago but is unlikely to work today.
How does Utah keep up? BYU clearly has the momentum and resources that didn’t exist even a couple seasons ago. What’s Utah’s move?
