Its terms of worst jobs I’d still say OSU or WSU are worse than Utah. I’m biased though.

A little disappointed. I had high hopes for him with our starting LB corp needing to be replaced.

I think a big problem was that before Travis got here the cupboard was bare. When Jordan Wynn went down Utah was forced to turn to a raw, inexperienced, true freshman QB. After that, Utah’s fate was essentially sealed.
By giving the reins to the Freshman they made it very hard on themselves to not have him start the next 4 years because he was…[Read more]

At least it isn’t going to the athletics department.

Thats not true. Travis was mediocre in many of his practices.

Wilson's Mustache replied to the topic Chasing Stanford: Can the Utes find the offense to compete? in the forum Football 9 years, 5 months ago
He’s only a sophomore so he has to play at least one more year. He’ll be a junior when the 2016 football season begins so he has 2 years to play if he chooses.

They do have a high pick so it is possible. I have a feeling they are pretty set on Ingram from Duke.

Pease in his interview on ESPN 700 said that Tim Patrick was nearly unstoppable in practice. I really hope that dude is healthy and ready to go this year. He’s got a combination of size and speed that is had to match up against.

Actually the Rose Bowl was after the Heisman Trophy Presentation. Perhaps you mean the Pac-12 Championship game in which he also had a stellar performance?

The kid got absolutely robbed. Had Derrick Henry played for any other school he would have lost and rightly so.
Everybody says he’s only a sophomore so he has two more years, but there are just too many variables in football. He might not put up quite the same stats he did last year. Could be wrong though. I wouldn’t mind seeing him win it.

I’m kind of hoping that the RB spot is deep enough that Troy McCormick can fill Covey’s spot.

Ironically (and unfortunately) I’ve seen him projected by a few sites going to the Bucks. Sounds familiar?
He could fall to Toronto and reunite with Delon. that would be cool.

ESPN’s Pac-12 Blog continues their series looking at what several Pac-12 teams must do to catch reigning Pac-12 champion Stanford. Next up: Utah.
X-factor: If the Pac-12 is driven by offense — and it is — then logic says this is a quarterback-driven league. Which it is.
Highly-touted, but not a fit for Chris Petersen in Seattle, Williams…

Wilson's Mustache replied to the topic Former Ute quarterback Travis Wilson not afraid of hard path to NFL in the forum Football 9 years, 5 months ago
“Obviously we only had experience with him as a quarterback and that’s all he ever played for us,” said Utah coach Kyle Whittingham. “He won a lot of games for us. But that’s a good question, where he fits in at the next level? There are probably a couple of places that would be possibilities outside of quarterback. He’s got the big frame. He’…

Like I’ve said before. Learning to not fumble a ball is incredibly easy to teach/learn. Booker had a horrible time holding onto the ball at one point in his career and then became one of the most reliable RB’s in the country at limit fumbles/carries.

While quarterback remains his first love, Wilson said he wouldn’t be against the idea of switching positions. In fact, there’s a very strong chance he will have to. For the 6-foot-7, 233-pounder, tight end is a possibility.
A position change wouldn’t be unprecedented. Several quarterbacks over the years have switched things up. Denard Rob…
