Rewatched last years game with TDS. Here are my thougths on what we have to do this year to win.
Keep pressure on Zach. He struggeled when the D was in his face.
Contain Zach when the play breaks down. He will run for some gains but I think he’ll be a little more careful knowing this is the first game of the year and he has to remain healthy.
We have to control the run. Hadley made us his bitch last year and had some great plays.
Cover the Bush…man. Zach will throw into triple coverage with when trying to hit the bush. This is where we need to get some picks.
Remain claim, BYU will convert third downs on dink and dunk plays. Just keep them from making big plays over the top.
Utah O-punish them when they play breaks down. Huntley needs to wisely use his legs. After watching the game last night we punished them when Shelley scrambled out of the pocket and ran for some good yardage and a TD!
Moar Moss! Seriously, TT play calling blew chunks. Punish thier Dline with pounding the rock. After two and a half quarters they will be gassed because they can’t rotate players like we can.
This will be a game of attrition. They’re D will be tough for the first half of the game. They can’t hang for four quarters.
At the very least we have to keep the game close. We will pull away late in the third and 4th quarters. Everyone remind yourself that this will be a slug fest early on but the 4th quarter will be the difference maker.
