I think it most likely depends on which game we play. If we make the Rose Bowl, I think everyone who is healthy plays. I considered the possibility that Lloyd et al. might sit in this scenario, but they (lloyd in particular) came back for an extra year because of unfinished business and the potential to raise their draft stock. If we make it to the Rose Bowl, each one of those guys will have undoubtedly raised their stock, which leaves the unfinished business goal as the only one remaining for them. How we come about playing in the Rose bowl will likely also play a role in whether or not they decide to play. I think it is less likely that they all play if we end up in the Rose Bowl due to Oregon beating us twice and going to the playoff, but still unlikely that they sit in that scenario.
If we don’t make the Rose Bowl, I think it is almost certain that Lloyd, ford, Tafua and Kuithe sit. Depending on how the rest of the season goes I think Sewell may sit as well.
In other words, I think we’ll struggle to compete in a bowl game if we don’t make the Rose Bowl since those 4 are 4 of our top 6 players.
