We have a small class next year. As of right now, I think we only have 11 or 12 available scholarships. Now, Blackmon, Anae, Fotu, Moss all have their sights set on leaving early to the NFL. And there will be transfers. And Bernard, Vickers, Lewis and maybe others might count for next year’s scholarships
So, we probably end up with 18 or so that we can sign.
Thats not a lot of kids. Right now, Utah is talking to some really, really highly rated kids. Kids that have no business coming to Utah. Blue chip kids.
Whitt and company think that if they have the year they think they can have win wise, they can convince these kids to come to Utah.
So, instead of taking commitments from kids they will continue to recruit over and possibly cut loose in December, they aren’t taking those commits. They could have 10 commits right now if they want. They think they can do better.
Come Sept, I’d bet we will be around 7-8 commits. We will be fine. Our class will end up between 25-35.
