There is an east side vs. west side mentality here. I’ve spent 25 years in the east valley. That is Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe, and Mesa.
I’m sure the west side has some very good areas but I have no need to go over there so I can give you any advise to those cities.
The east side is growing so rapidly the infrastructure can’t keep pace espec…[Read more]

Lived in Willow, Encanto, and North Central Phoenix (Central and Glendale area). Liked North Central the best. Lots of places to walk to for dinner/lunch. Really good public elementary school.
You mentioned safety a few times. In any city there’s generally a price point above which safety is a given. Phoenix is a pretty safe city so a…[Read more]

If i were to move there, I’d aim for the Paradise Valley area, not sure i could afford it yet, but I love it. It is alone of the rich rich area.

I’ve lived in the Gilbert/Mesa area for the last 25 years.

Yeah I fantasize the same thing. My laptop and a starlink. That’s all I need.

I got back last night. Greece was unreal. Great beaches, some incredible hiking, really nice people, and everything I ate was amazing. I found myself contemplating if I could move my business there and still be successful.
Already planning on going back next year!

Have two daughters but also have a D1 athlete son so I too would like to relax, and wait and see what truths come out of this.

Whether guilty or innocent, Cougar fan’s response to the Retzlaf situation serves as a stark reminder to me that I genuinely do not enjoy being TDS’ conference rival or sharing space with that fan base. I would hang my head in shame if Ute fans behaved in the same manner should our starting QB ever be accused of the same things.

I LOVED not playing them and having to deal with their fans. Real downer being sucked back into their childish delusional world.

The BYU factor is definitely a real thing for me, which has been very surprising. Growing up, the season was largely defined by whether or not you beat BYU and you spent most of the year paying your dues with lesser games waiting for that game. I couldn’t have imagined a world where Utah and BYU didn’t play and then it happened and it was… kind…[Read more]

For me it is the unique combination of NIL and player movement without any guardrails, the lack of any connection with the Big 12, and the reconnection with BYU that has made this last season almost unbearable. I am actually more excited about season 2 of our hockey team than I am about Utah Football. I am not sure how that happened, and I would…[Read more]

Stopped watching the NBA when Stockton retired. Haven’t missed it at all.
