I know it. Utah needs to get this guy. It seems like he’d be a game changer for our offense w/ Beck and Dampier.
I’m trying to not get too excited about the prospects of our team w/ him though. So much better when Utah has the underdog mentality and lower expectations.

There’s definitely positives to it. Talented 4* recruit out of high school, got a lot of experience last year (hopefully learned a lot), and showed us some glimpses of his potential. And it’s nice to have more depth at that position.

Good for Isaac and terrific for our program. I hope he takes a redshirt year to take care of his health, develop his body and learn the offense. I know first hand that the team – both coaches and players – are thrilled he is back.

I can see potential in him but nothing even remotely close to worth keeping on someone that divides the locker room. Nowhere close at all. Hopefully he changes

Not to be rude, but this isn’t even a question. Dampier transferred with Beck as his starting QB. Wilson will redshirt or be 2nd/third string depending on some on-going discussions with players.

Competition. That is what I want. Iron sharpens iron and all that awesomeness. I want two guys who want to battle it out so if one goes down another is ready. I want two guys who improve all spring and push each other to get better.

Dampier, no question. He has run Becks system as a starter and has clearly shown the ability to make decisions quickly. I’m indifferent at this point. Wilson gave us flashes of his potential and Dampier is good but not a great thrower.

So long as the starter spot is a true competition next season, I’m OK with whatever the decision is.

I’d also like the Utes to bring in one more portal QB.

I don’t even need spring ball to tell you that Dampier is the starter.

Yeah, we were rough. One failure of a year out of 20…is not comparable to Arizona. Not even close.

Whitt wants big bruising backs who can run through the tackles. Glover wasn’t that. I hope this fits. I think our last RB coach screwed a lot of smaller backs by convincing them to come here when they just don’t fit what Whitt wants to do.

Credit to Glover for fighting it out here and I hope he excels with Mullen.
