I’m a little surprised about King, honestly. He clearly wasn’t happy with how little he was used this season.

Bummed for Ryan. I thought he looked good in the limited reps. It’s frustrating because we really didn’t get a good glimpse at our TEs and WRs due to a really poor passing attack. I’m interested to see how they’ll use TEs.

I kind of wish he would come back as sort of a grad assistant, QB coach intern with the ability to play if we needed. Love the guy, I believe his best interest is to move on as well as for this program. Thanks for the memories Cam, you’ll always be a legend here.

I’d like to think that they likely sat Cam down and said that he’s welcome to stay but they cannot offer the same NIL deal and no guaranteed starting job.

Entering the transfer portal does not necessarily mean the player leaves. For example, last year Micah Bernard entered the transfer portal but returned to Utah and rushed for 1,000 yards.

Yeah I mentioned my discussion with Cam’s dad in another thread or two and the gist was that IF he were to play next year, he’d be playing somewhere else.

Tough call on bringing in Dampier. His numbers may not transfer to the P4 level. I think Beck will adapt the offense to the talent of the QB. I would bring him in as an insurance policy but be open to a different style QB. I like the throw first run second type also. A young Josh Allen would be perfect. ( in my dreams anyway)
