Not sure how you could put Kansas and UCLA there but not BYU. That game is generally scary even when Utah is okay (I still remember the half-assed first half of the 2018 game and the rapid, and desperate, comeback to pull out a stunning win). That game scares me because BYU has had Utah’s number the last two times they’ve played and are likely…[Read more]

I don’t expect him to choose Utah, but will be very shocked if he does. If he does, more power to Utah. However, with him being the highest rated 5 star coming out of Utah, I would expect him to pick the highest bidder.

Read a X post yesterday from one of our Ute insiders (forgot exactly who) that it is still between us and Tennessee.
On another note, on 247sports it states that Moa is now a composite 5-star:
“Local standout Salesi Moa jumped 0.0139 points in the composite ranking, going from 0.9712 to 0.9850. That jump would put him in the top half of the…[Read more]

I wish people would stop treating political parties as if they were sports teams deserving of loyal fans.
We are not opponents and should be working towards a greater good instead of becoming extreme and divided.I understand that our opinions on what ‘greater good’ means will differ. This is why we vote and have other forums for discussion. Vote…[Read more]

Not a bad list, but I am higher on Colorado than I am UCLA. Is UCLA higher on your list because it is a road game?

Utah was 1 serviceable QB away from being in contention for the b-12 title. They’re not saying that the conference suddenly got worse, but we are being bullish on having a decent QB this season. Wilson couldn’t hit the side of a barn and missed A LOT of conversion passes purely on his inaccuracy and all of the games were still close.

I wouldn’t describe myself as a pessimist at all but I have no real confidence that the wheels haven’t completely fallen off the Whittingham train. The series of egregious errors this team has been making and the long timeline they’ve occurred over have no real explanation but gross incompetence. I think that’s just realism.
But at the same time…[Read more]

Sure he is. That’s why Biden, Harris, Garland, and the rest of the Dems who were doing anything and everything they could to put Trump in prison and keep him from running/winning in 2024 never released the list that Trump is definitely on. 🙄
The logic of the left never ceases to amaze.

If you tour both the campus of the U and the Y, you quickly realize that the U is a better funded, and newer university. Despite that, the Y has (based on GPA and test scores), better students. This has led to both universities having the exact same ranking in US news this year. I believe that part of the reason for Utah’s difficulty attracting…[Read more]

It’s easy if we could just stop talking about a certain team. Go look at how little it came up for the last dozen years.

I’m a little nervous about the running game also. Anybody hearing any buzz on Racine Guiloory? I saw his highlights on youtube and he is electric. Not to mention every blue blood in college football recruited him. Seems like he should get some playing time with how talented he is. Also I like Bird Ficklin. He’s impressed me a lot. I’m…[Read more]

DD being a legit run threat at the QB position should take some pressure off of the RBs, but I agree that the position group is unproven as it stands.
The defense doesn’t have a ton of high-key names like they have in the past, but I trust the coaching staff to keep us respectable and competitive, especially considering this conference doesn’t…[Read more]

Last year’s record aside, I still have a difficult time taking this conference seriously. Without evidence of us taking care of business, we could easily be in the 8-4 range with some random, seemingly uncharacteristic losses. That’s just how the B12 will be perceived until a program or two emerges on top of the food chain.
That being said, now…[Read more]

What’s the definition of a pessimist here? I don’t consider myself one but I’m definitely not on board with the idea that Utah is going to win the Big 12. I think this is a 6 or 7 win team and maybe, with a few breaks, a 9 win one. Does that make me a pessimist?
If so, I guess to answer your question: I’ve rarely gone into a season where I’ve…[Read more]

Sources makes it sound like I have some super secret contact deep in the athletic program. It’s not that cool just some contacts who know somebody and somebody knows somebody else but they are fairly connected and mostly reliable. Very 3rd or 4th party

These generalizations of Utah dline or rb is always solid isn’t absolutely true.
RB was a problem last year. We had nobody behind MB. I don’t see how that’s any different this year. We have nobody behind Parker. We can’t have Parker go down and Rogers as a featured back. It’s a far ways off from JJ or MB being next man up.
RB is a concern this year.

LOL! The “Holy War” is one of the best rivalries in all of college athletics…. BECAUSE religion is at play. There is nothing else like it, and that is why it fascinates people outside of its influence and generates the interest it does. I am of the COJCOLDS religious persuasion, and frankly, we need to be a little thicker-skinned and able to…[Read more]
