Anytime any leader starts to pull transparency, you know things are bad.
Good leaders don’t hide anything because they have nothing to hide. Anytime anyone closes the books, the accounts, practices, meetings, etc, you know they are going sour.

False start is a dead ball foul. The play shouldn’t have started but sometimes does before anyone hears the whistle.
Illegal motion is the same as offsides where you can choose the result of the play or the penalty.

Yeah, that false start penalty made me wonder why those don’t count as a free play for the defense; kind of like how offside is a free play for the offense.
I wonder what it would be like if they were allowed to continue the play and the defense was allowed to accept/reject the penalty.

I’m always interested in who steps up and makes a play for the team. We have been playing not to lose and nobody wants to make a mistake. Play lose and have fun (novel idea).

I can’t bring myself to believe anything like this from Whittingham anymore… The past season and a half have made sure of that.

Army-Navy. I’ve heard from others who have attended that the atmosphere, crowd energy, and traditions are incredible.
This year, with both of their records, would be especially awesome.

Oh, I care. I just don’t have any expectations of doing well the rest of the year. These past three games pretty much put a bullet in the head of my hopes and optimism.

A playoff game at the orange bowl in Miami would be fun. Some to get out of the cold for a few days.

That’s why Alford hasn’t played. The Wizard of Ludville’s offense. So glad he’s gone.

Man, they’re pissed it’s not a night white-out game. Should still be a great time

The answer is always LSU in Death Valley. I’d take November 9 with Alabama at LSU. Then couple that with the Falcons at Saints on the 10th. Spend the weekend in New Orleans. So much fun.
Can’t beat the magic of “Callin’ Baton Rouge.”
LSU is my adopted SEC team.

2008 National Champ replied to the topic Difficult Offense? in the forum Football 8 months ago
Huntley had the improvisation down but what really made that 2019 offense go was him getting hurt against SC. The pass blocking was really subpar that year and he was having to escape immediate rushers constantly but with his lower body injuries he couldn’t be the runner he was in previous years. So he made the first man miss, found his single…[Read more]

Zero expectations (good or bad). Actually, this is one of the more stress-free games in some time for me. We’re not really playing for anything other than a little pride.

You hadn’t heard that? It’s been one of the most repeated stories from 2021. That on that 4th down call, Ludwig sent in a play but when the team came out in the wrong formation, Whitt called for timeout. When they asked what play Rising thought was called he said flea-flicker. The coaches looked at each other and decided that would be a great…[Read more]

I wonder if the lacerated kidney he suffered impacted him mentally. I’m not saying he all of a sudden got the yips or anything, but to go from being thought of that highly to not being QB2 over a true freshman…. Then not transferring out…. Makes you wonder.
