Luther had ~ 10 years of coaching experience before coming back. Ganther has coached elsewhere. I’m not against former Utah players per se. But only if they have proven themselves as coaches first. Utah football shouldn’t be a jobs program.

You sure about that? I know that he worked as a consultant during BYU’s Spring camp but didn’t know that he was on the staff.

no no no on G Anderson, Shitake Rodrick or any byu has bens. we need some new blood in there. there are a ton of up and coming offensive and defensive minded coaches out there that would love to be on the Utah coaching staff. we need to move on past the old guard, and while we are at Cam Rising as well. bye all and lets start anew

I don’t think you forget how to coach defense. It won’t be him but I think he is a good coach, he is currently working as a defensive analyst at BYU.

No one.

USC doesn’t pay much NIL to HS recruits. They prefer to pay mature, upperclassmen from the transfer portal who can contribute immediately. Dunn might well go to USC but it’s highly unlikely that the Trojans made him a financial offer that he can’t refuse.

Meh. I predict he’ll be back with 3 years eligibility remaining.

Dunn going to USC will be interesting. The reason is because USC has a history of not paying much (or stiffing) NIL to HS recruits. Utah has to win, and win big, plus have a healthy infusion of NIL dollars if it wants to get the same type of recruits it was getting as the PAC ended. If all we’re doing is going 7-5/9-3, without regular appearances in the CFP, then it’s going to be very hard to be attractive blue-chippers.

Andersen has been out of football for, what, 2-3 years? His last gig was working as an analyst under Jay Hill at Weber State. Yeah, I’d be scratching my head if that’s who the next DC was.

We’re going to lose players to other schools due to NIL, blue bloods, or maybe they have hotter coeds. It’s just going to happen.
