Chris Capko from USC is another fantastic young energetic coach that Utah needs to build their BBall program. This guy has coached all over the the stars and helped USC recruit some of the hottest BBall talent in Southern California. He is going to be a top candidate for some program. It might as well be ours!

Miles Davis/Dom Henry WR, Byu are in portal as well. Nice back end of roster depth pieces that are familiar with the landscape, all having spent time in Utah.

Ari Patu, Drew Pyne there several guys that fit. It’s a delicate balance of not bringing in someone that scares off the young guys but brings experience, maturity, and Gardner Minshew vibe to the room.

The other thing that we need to consider is we in essence are asking someone to come in for 2.5 string or 3 string. Sucks, he really never was given a chance. What we need is someone that is a veteran that can help bridge or give stability to our star who is more susceptible to injury and a young quarterback who by all accounts wasn’t ready last year. I’m not saying we need a 5 star here we need a bridge. That’s all!

I think the way we have been recruiting, our max starter lifespan is 2 years. That is what we should be recruiting around. We are probably needing someone like Athan Kalikmanis from Minnesota. Someone that has a bit of Gardner Minshew in him. Not expected to be long term starter but can spot start and be here for two years to bridge the gap from Rising to our young guys.

I read that as well. However if I am Sam than I’m not coming to Utah! There is to much competition for a starting spot.
