Judging solely by his stats at CU… I don’t think he’d start for us. I guess he’d be quality depth? He has a season or two of actual playing time under his belt… but he’s been on the team for 4 years now it looks like. 

I don’t know his story, ie. why he hasn’t played in every game in a season yet. I don’t know if he was the starter, or if he has always been a reserve. Is he a starter/former starter with injury concerns? I don’t know… either way I think his ceiling is quality depth.

Brandon McKinney had been with UW for 4 years and didn’t have stats that would make you think he’s starter material. He ended up being a very solid strong safety and one of the best tacklers on the team. Scheme and opportunity can make a difference.

For sure. Like I said, I don’t know anything about him other than his stats. Who knows?
