I actually wish that the O Line had gotten figured out sooner. Based on how the season turned out, I think we can all agree that Rising would have taken over eventually. But it would have been nice to not drop two games while figuring things out.
Rising getting reps in close wins would still have shown that he was the clear future. It wouldn’t have helped Brewer as it might not have allowed him to still redshirt but for team purposes, there will always be a lingering question of what could have been. You can’t change any one variable and assume everything else will be equal so I’m not trying to go down that rabbit hole.
